Daddy and Daddy’s pre-marathon training run and cake scoffing, Phoenix Park, Saturday 22nd October 2016

Believe and Achieve rallied the Fit4Life distance troops to celebrate the fantastic achievements of every Fit4Lifer who conquered a distance race so far this year and to offer last minute advice and calm nerves ahead of next Sunday’s marathon.

We asked Mick later how it went: “Great turnout this morning.” (You probably had them at “cake” Mick.)  “The energy and enthusiasm from the group was amazing, almost infectious this morning.  These guys are ready and have the confidence to face (and hopefully enjoy) the 26.2 miles having put so much time and preparation over the last 18 weeks. It’s very inspiring to see that spirit amongst them, as I said to Alan, if we could bottle that attitude and self belief we’d all be running world records (well, not quite but you know what I mean).  They are a super bunch of people with a fantastic attitude and we wish them all the very best on the big day and beyond.”

Well said Mick! And so say all of us!

Alan said: “I hope these Fit4Lifers fully embrace my rebranding vision. I will settle for nothing less than  worldwide merchandise domination. They seemed a little distracted by a long run they’re doing in Dublin next Sunday. #S250 #Berlin”

Seriously though, sincere thanks to Alan and Mick, for their incomparable, irrepressible, ridiculous, laugh-out-loud, irreverent and expert support of our Fit4Lifers with distance ambitions once again this year; helping us to Believe and Achieve. Who knew distance running could be so much fun?

Good luck to all Fit4Lifers taking on the Dublin Marathon next weekend and above all else, enjoy the experience. You’re winners already!
