**DUNBOYNE LADIES & MEN TAKE GOLD AT MEATH INTERMEDIATES XC **

Dunboyne played host to this years Meath Intermediates Cross Country in the Cow Park. The ladies were  first up and on a wet and stormy morning Norma Farrell, Ciara Nolan, Emer English, Emily Ryan, Maeve Dunne and Annemarie Sheehan took to the start line for their 4K race.  Conditions were very tough, with strong winds and difficult terrain but as always the support was out of this world which kept everyone going throughout. The girls did phenomenally well bringing home Gold for the club. Well done everyone!

Next up were the men, donning the club singlet today were Derek Finnegan, Morgan McDonagh, Alan Kenny, Paddy Peters, Gerry O’Reilly, John O’Malley and Ray Mitchell. The mens’ race run on the same course but with extra laps bringing it to 8K. The strong wind again was a factor and the team did extremely well in a competitive field today taking the Gold to make it a double for the club today!.  Well done guys!

Fantastic running by all who took part today and a big thanks to everyone who came down to support – as always it means a lot to those competing. Thanks also to Ray Mitchell for saving the day (as he always does!) with spare spikes and a mobile changing facility!!

Individual results to follow later. With thanks to Emila Dan for these photos Click here to view the teams in action.
