Notice for competing athletes who use an inhaler

Please note recent news in the UK about a member of the British Cycling Team who has failed a drugs test for using an undeclared inhaler drug. There is no question of an athlete using an inhaler being at an advantage and the fact that this cyclist has not been suspended is clear evidence of that. Nonetheless there are strict rules around declaring these and other drugs. More information on the rules can be found on the Irish Sports Council website HERE.
