Sean Hughes finished up his season on a high, competing in a paralympic Grand Prix event in the Czech Republic

On Friday he hit the 8m mark for the first time throwing 8.00m. He finished top of his F34 class. But this was a mixed class event and Sean finished 3rd overall behind two F54 athletes.

This throw added 30cm to Sean’s pb and improves his European Senior ranking to 4th in 2017.

On Saturday he threw the javelin 20.68m just off his pb, again top of his F34 class, finishing 3rd overall behind two F54 athletes.

Sean now takes a well deserved rest for the next couple of weeks before training resumes for the 2018 season.
