The 2016 Maynooth 5k and 10k took place on Sunday 24th April, 100 years to the day of the 1916 Easter Rising and the run was appropriately named ‘The Rebellion Run’ for the year that’s in it.

The 1916 themed event was hosted by the Maynooth Education Campus Parent Teacher Association who invited all comers to celebrate this historic anniversary by taking part in their races, commencing with some laps of the college, before heading up the main street, entering the grounds of Carton and finishing between the famous lime tree lined avenue in Maynooth.

On the day we’d a number from our Senior group who joined a good bunch of our F4L crew on what was a decent day for running.
