We are delighted to officially announce that on Sunday December 15th 2019, Dunboyne AC have been selected to host the Annual National Juvenile Uneven ages and Novice Cross Country All Ireland Finals where we have gone through several qualifying rounds and presentations as part of a rigorous selection process.

This is a huge undertaking for Dunboyne AC and we need all the help from our club members.

This event is the biggest Championship event numbers wise on the Athletics Calendar and we should so proud that we have been selected as the successful club to host this event as it is another wonderful opportunity to put our club on the map of Irish Athletics.

Athletics is in our history and we love running, jumping and throwing, so hosting the biggest Athletics annual event twinned with the biggest undertaking of an event in the clubs history will help promote and create a bigger profile for our much loved club.

The event itself will take place in the Cow Park beside Clonee Saw Mills and parking will be in the M3 Train Station Car park with Shuttle Busses to the car park and also the Dunboyne Train Station Car park.

We will have overflow car parks of the local schools and our own club.

This event will bring over 3,500 people to our village and we can expect over 2,000 cars so local trade will benefit from this event.

In order for this event to be successful, it will all come down to us and we need over 60 Volunteers.

Car park and traffic management is not to be taken lightly and this is where the club is asking for your assistance.

We make a huge appeal to our members to give up 4 – 6 hours of your time and help us manage this event.

Any member who has not yet availed of the Volunteering Discount, now is your last chance to get your discount for next year 2020 memberships.
