***Christmas Wrap Up, Senior’s in action over the Festive Period***
We’d a quiet festive period in terms of racing, our athletes were more than likely focusing on their nutrition and hydration over the holiday break. Two of our senior crew did dust off the runners though, with Ray Mitchell running in Navan and Kevin Deery running in Santry, both races took place on the 27th.
Ray was in action at Navan AC’s Robbie Byrne Memorial, a road race ran over 5kms this year, it was 6kms in the past. He ran a strong 21:06 to blow off the Christmas cobwebs. Provisional results available on Core Timing’s website.
Kevin ran in Clonliffe’s Christmas Cracker, a race that starts and finishes on the track in Santry. He finished in 26th overall in a time of 19:12. Full results on Clonliffe’s website.
