BHAA stalwarts Dee Fitzsimons and Pat Ryan took on Dublin City Council’s 2 and 4 Mile Races the day before our own 4 Mile, the 2nd April. Dee got on great over the 2 mile distance clocking a 13:32.
When we asked Pat how he got on he told us he got hit by a car; a boy racer in an Audi whooshed him over the bonnet and landed him onto the ground before the race. In true Pat Ryan fashion, he dusted himself off, and ran 30:27 for the 4 Miles. The day after he ran our own 4 Mile in 30:32!
