*** Update – Venue Change Due to Weather Damage ***
Hi all, as you may know, we have had weather damage to our throwing circle in Dunboyne and recent storms have hampered our attempts to fix this damage. In order to give the throwers their best chance of a good performance we have made the decision to hold our Winter Throws, competition this Saturday at Morton Stadium, Santry instead. The timetable remains the same and we look forward to seeing you all there.
Timetable
- 10am Senior Shot
- 11am Senior Discus
- 12.30pm Senior Hammer
- 2pm Masters Shot
- 3pm Masters Discus
- 4pm Masters Hammer
Registration for the Senior Competition is from 9AM.
Please check in at least One hour before your event starts.
Please note that the Masters Competition does not start until 2pm.
Warm-Up
Each thrower will be allowed a maximum of two warm-up throws per competition.
Competition
Each competitor will get 4 throws per competition.
The top three from each competition will get a further two throws.
All implements will be measured and weighed at the registration area.
Age Groups
There will be two categories:
- Seniors
- Masters – Masters Competition will be run as one. It will not be age related.
All throwers must be over 18 years of age
However, if any thrower is under the age of 18, and trying to achieve a qualification mark, exceptions may be made.

*Men and Women will be run together in each event. The time table is as always, subject to change, but every effort will be made to stick to the timetable listed.
