Fit for Life Distance Running Group

*** Attention all F4L runners with ambitions on running a little longer this summer ***

Alan and Mick are running their ‘Believe and Achieve’ running group aimed at F4L runners looking to go beyond the 5k or 10 k distance.

An information evening will take place upstairs in the clubhouse next Tuesday, 27th June after the F4L track session for 20 minutes.

This will be a brief but informative meeting to gauge interest and outline the training programme.

The lads issue a weekly training e-mail to support the programme and offer practical advice with a little devilment thrown in for good measure 😀

Training runs over 18 weeks building towards Frank Duffy 10 mile, Dublin Half Marathon and Dublin Marathon.

If you have ran anything around 4-5 miles and completing The Frank Duffy 10 Miler, in August, interests you; please come along. This is a very achievable distance for anyone with a running base. The lads will explain that with incremental build – up of miles on one day/ week in conjunction with your club training  this can be easily achieved.

If you have completed these distances and wish to improve your times with some training tips; please come along also.

There will be a number of meetings prior to the target races offering support, advice and encouragement.

Anyone with an eye on 10 mile, Half-Marathon or the Dublin Marathon itself -should attend.

NOTE: If anyone is intending running the Dublin Marathon ENTER NOW!! It is predicted to sell out by end of June so hurry, hurry, hurry!!!
