Fit for Life at Trim 10 Mile, Meath Championships, 5th Feb 2017

With thanks to Ana Quigley for this report.

We all 16 Fit4Life car pooled to Trim to race the 3rd Annual Trim 10 mile. It is one of our favourites. Great route, great support, spread afterwards…

This year we were told the finish was going to be at the castle but in the end it could not be. Pity. Instead we got a great t-shirt!

The weather was perfect! A little bit cold and a little bit windy at times but exactly what we needed. Some of us have flashbacks of last year’s freezing, cloudy and windy day but on Sunday it was blue skies. Beautiful.

There was a lot of support along the way as well, overall passing by Dunderry. The best support is from our own club members along the way and photographer, Rob Webb!!

This time there was an amazing success in the Fit4Lifers. Most of them did a PB. Some even got medals!!! Jackie Brannigan contributed to the ladies team in 1st position in the Meath Championships and Lauren Flood and Angela Egan who were 2nd lady in their category! Special mention to Siobhan Murphy as it was her 1st 10 mile! Well done Siobhan!

Thanks to Rob for the photos on the DunboyneAC flicker account and as well you can find some others on Peter Mooney’s flicker account and lots on PopUp races FB account.

If we’ve left anyone out please let us know in the comments !
