We had 4 Fit4Lifers in action at the annual Simon Fun Run in the Phoenix Park on Saturday. Thankfully, the rain stopped just before the start and Annette Finlay, Brian Moore, Ger Fagan and Julieann Finlay were soon off on the challenging 5 mile route.
Starting at the pitches, we headed for Chesterfield Avenue, down Ordnance Survey Road, enjoyed the downhill on the Upper Glen Road on the 3rd mile, through the S bends and finally up Kyber Road for most of the last mile. Always the same route, always tough but always enjoyable and for a great cause too.

The next highly recommended fun-run/walk is the 5K Remembrance Run in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 13th November; a lovely poignant event to remember our loved ones. It’s suitable for all; runners, joggers and walkers alike, and in the spirit of the event, it isn’t timed. Registration is open at www.remembrancerun.ie. Why not give it a go?
