Jingle Bells 5k

Another great Jingle bells 5k put on by my old club Donore Harriers on Saturday Dec 2nd.

A crisp morning saw over 1,000 go to the starting line with a large contingent from Dunboyne AC (24 in total) taking on this fast 5k route through the beautiful Phoenix Park.
Some very fast times from the lead group. Niall was up with the top 10 for most of the race and just lost a few places on the run to the line but came away with a huge PB improving from 16.15 to a great 15min 22 sec to finish 15th overall. Shane Healy former Olympian & now 49 years ran a brilliant 15.19 for 11th place overall. Behind Niall some good running by Derek Finnegan in 54th running 16.34, Loughlin Campion right behind 55th in 16.35.Paddy Peters 66th 16.49, Alan McKernan 17.34, Kevin Clancy 17.34, Carol Cullinane 18.45, myself 19.22 ( 7th in category), Rob Hale 19.22 ,Mark McDonald 19.47, Michael o Baille (my neighbour) 21.01,Geoff Hamilton 21.09, Lyndon Thomas 25.07 Sam Hamilton 25.17, John Dempsey 27.20, Ann Marie Sheehan 27.47, Audrey Keane 28.13, Ana quigley 28.13,Lisa Stewart 28.43, Orla Finn 28.49, Elaine Donovan 30.06, Janet Lowthe 31.25, Nicola McKernan 33.17,Janet Rice 32.36.
