Juveniles – Winter Relay Season at Gowran and the NIA

It has been relay season for the Dunboyne AC Juveniles with athletes from the club participating in both Leinster Cross Country relays in Gowran, Kilkenny and the Mid Sutton anniversary games at the National Indoor Arena, Abbotstown.

Leinster Cross Country Relays – Sunday 12th January:

In Gowran our U12 girls put in a cracking team effort and came home is a super 4th place just outside the medals.

The team was made of Holly Ryan, Aimee Holohan, Grace Connell and Katie O’Reilly.
Well done girls, a super achievement at provincial level.

Our U12 boys team, who have put in medal winning performances throughout the cross country season, earned themselves a bronze medal on the day.

A massive well done to Harry Drake, Fionn O’Reilly, Tom Gormley and George Comerford on another provincial team medal.

Mid Sutton Anniversary Games – Sunday 19th January:

Having received an invite to the Mid Sutton Anniversary games, 18 Dunboyne Juveniles headed off to the National Indoor Arena for an afternoon of relays.

Every single team participating for the club included at least one club member for whom it was their first time ever to race on the track in a Dunboyne Vest.

Our newbies Noah Gormally, Ava Taylor, Orlaith Donohoe, Charlie Kane, Cian Brady and Carmel Brady all ran super legs and showed wonderful team spirit on the day.

A massive well done to them and to all who took part.
