Laura Buckley in action at the National Intermediate T&F Championships, Tuam, 22nd January 2017
Laura Buckley was Dunboyne AC’s sole representative at the Palace Grounds on Sunday where the National Intermediate XC was held. The weather conditions could not have been better with blue skies and relatively warm conditions for the time of year. Despite the good weather the surface itself was very heavy, coupled with the hills to contend with it made for quite a challenging XC course.
Laura was coming off the back of a tight turnaround in terms of her racing schedule having podiumed at the Leinster Intermediate XC a week earlier in the Cow Park. Despite racing heavily recently she’d an excellent result – placing top 10 in a high class field! Well done Laura!
