As we all know, the Trim 10 mile road race incorporated the Meath 10 Mile Road Championship. Those results weren’t available when we reported the Open Race results, but the verdicts are now in, the engraved medals are safely in Dunboyne AC mitts and we are delighted to confirm the following fantastic results:
Our men’s team of Rory Kavanagh, Alan Kenny, Gerry O’Reilly and Alan McKernan won GOLD.
Our ladies team of Emilia Dan, Clodagh Dunphy, Norma Farrell and Lauren Flood won SILVER.
In the individual category Emilia Dan won GOLD. In the men’s race Rory Kavanagh won SILVER and Alan Kenny secured BRONZE. Special mention to Clodagh Dunphy who was fourth, just one place outside an individual medal.
And we were equally impressive in the age categories with Senior Coach Tony O’Neill winning BRONZE. 3 of our Fit4Life ladies also triumphed with Angela Egan securing SILVER and Kay Gilmartin and Lauren Flood each winning a BRONZE medal.
Superb results. Well done to all our medal winners above who battled hard and ran strongly. Well done to all who togged out in force in the blue and white supplying the other essential ingredient for success; turning up!
