The Meath community Games Cross Country will take place at the usual venue at Saint Brigids Gaa Grounds in Ballinacree just outside Oldcastle on the 5th of March 2017. Registration opens at 10.15am.
This is always a well attended event, distances are short which is appealing too our younger athletes and there is always a fun element in the races. Under 12 and older age group races are trials for the Meath Team to compete at the National community Games Finals in Abbotstown in May 2017. As this is the Jubilee celebrations for the Community Games Organisation this should be a special festival.
For Meath residents only, where athletes compete with their parish i.e Dunboyne, Kilbride etc. Age parameters are different to athletics ground with athletes competing in their age group that they will be in on the 1st of August 2017.
