Dunboyne AC was represented by three athletes in the National Indoor Finals yesterday and again today. In the 3,000m Sara Treacy, fresh from her recent win in the Armagh 3k, led the field in an exciting race, Sara was pipped on the finish straight by Kerry O’Flaherty of Newcastle but finished in a strong 2nd place to bring home the silver medal. Well done Sarah.
Michelle Pilkington and Shane Nolan also togged out for the club in the shot put event. In an extremely competitive field Michelle was 7th and Shane just outside the placings. We are delighted to have our athletes competing in events of this calibre and we know there is more to come from both Michelle and Shane in the coming year.
