Our usual Christmas Day 2 Miler took place New Years Day, and was the club’s 45th christmas 2 mile race! Well done on all who turned out to run and help out on the morning. A great run by Ray Duggan earned him 1st prize & the Mary Brady cake. (Mary Brady has made the 1st prize Christmas cake for the last 45 years!) Our Chairman Michael Cornyn was 2nd in a time of 12.20 and Michael O Baille in 3rd in 13.15. Rory Kavanagh had fastest run of the day crossing the line 1st in 10.27. The cake was presented in the clubhouse straight after the race and everyone enjoyed a cuppa. Thanks to everyone who brought a bottle, which meant nobody went home empty handed :). Results below.
