Peter Somba and Rob Webb were our representatives at the Docklands 5k. Peter was taking on the race after winning the Oldcastle 5k the night before, whilst Rob approached the race a little more conservatively, with a days taper.
Peter went at it from the gun, being challenged by St. Malachy’s Ben Branagh, who made him work hard for his victory, but we’re sure it was all the sweeter because of it. Peter won in a super fast time of 14:40, with Ben 2 seconds behind.
Rob got to see the action at the sharp end of the field at 1.5k and the 3k mark, and gave Peter a shout of encouragement before pushing on himself for a time of 28:43.
