The newly formed Dunboyne AC Sprints Group put their recent speed training to the test at two events last week.
First up was the Kildare Championships on Sunday 15th May where six of the group raced as guests in the 100 and 200 meters. Faced with stiff competition from senior runners these masters gave an excellent account of themselves with some really impressive times.

Declan Farrell 100m: 14.44
Eileen Soraghan 100m: 19.xx

Sarah Faulkner 100m: 16.08 200m: 33.41
Drogheda & District’s graded meet the following Thursday the 19th gave the four who made the trip PBs for the 200, well done to all!
Declan Farrell (Dunboyne) 29.8
Deirdre Mangan (Dunboyne) 40.3
Rosemary Higgins (Dunboyne) 36.0
Sarah Faulkner (Dunboyne) 32.2
We hope to see this group in action in the Leinster Masters Championships in Tullamore in a few weeks – a few short months training has lined the group up very well for this competition and these times are certain to continue to tumble with continued training. A huge well done to the group who have made the jump to the track, braving the unknown and coming out flying. Looking forward to seeing what comes next for you all!
