Folks, you can see what it takes to do what we do from the below list so without our great members getting stuck in,it simply cannot be done……….so thank you very much for all the help,time and effort given over to this year’s running of the 14th Annual Social Welfare/Government Services Group BHAA 5 Mile Road Race on the evening of 29th May last.
In my view, the event is a good opportunity to show Dunboyne AC working together at HQ. We were very lucky with the weather again and I feel confident in saying that everyone that came out to our club on the 29th May had an enjoyable experience.This is all due of course to the friendly way our members conduct themselves while getting the job done at registration,start,stewarding,medicare,finish area and post race refreshments area. Again,this is club spirit in action at its best and I am very grateful for it.
My good friend Tom Fagan is a huge support to me in putting the night together so thank you very much to him also.
To name just a few which is always dangerous as I would like to mention so many more – Emilia Dan was up to her usual tricks with some of her amazing homemade treats.Kay Gilmartin rolled up the sleeves to produce homemade gluten free goodies with Patricia Keenan giving the home baking socks also. Michelle Mitchell gave Gino’s gelato a super run for their money with her 100% ‘not for profit’ ice cream extravaganza. Michelle Wall organised the production line of sandwiches and kept those burco’s bubbling.
There will be a little draw on Thursday night 14th June at the track to acknowledge the efforts of Fit For Life Group,Catering folk and the fastest female and male of the senior training group.
