***Vodafone Business House’s 5km Cross County Race, Marley Park, Sunday 13th December 2015***
The wind and rain of Saturday subsided slightly for yesterday mornings BHAA race, the last of 2015, hosted by Vodafone in Marley Park, close to their HQ in Leopardstown. The race drew on three of our regular BHAA’rs, Paul Gorey, Pat and Emily Ryan. Dee Fitzsimons skipped this one, she was busy cheering on the Ireland team at the Euro Cross in Hyeres, France.
It looks like Decembers rainfall did little to inhibit our crews performances, they posted three strong performances.
It appears that Pat and Paul may have had a bit of a ‘race within a race’, with only 3 seconds separating the lads, Pat with a 22:27, Paul just a pace or two behind with a 22:30.
The lads were just over the line when Emily came in shortly after, with a 23:16 to her name. Emily’s obviously carried over the form that saw her run so strongly to score on the winning women’s Intermediate team two weeks ago in the Cow Park.
Well done to all three on great runs.
The next BHAA, hosted by Bank of Ireland, takes place on the 9th January in Tymon Park, with the women racing over 2 miles and the men 4 miles.
