Windmill Run, Garristown 10K, Sunday 28th February 2016

We had two members in the fourth running of The Windmill Run, Garristown, on Sunday, both opting for the 10K.

Organisers describe the run as an attractive and challenging hilly road run with plenty of views to enjoy, including the historic landmark windmill.

Loughlin Campion continued his recent flying form and put the cross country training to great effect to take 3rd place in a time of 35.34 on a very testing course. Congrats Loughlin.

Declan Farrell was in action for Fit4Life. He’s been upping the ante and the distance of late and he finished very impressively in 51.37.  A few hours later, he reported that he was “still getting over the hills……….enjoyed in reflection, but the shout of one steward ‘there’s no hills in dunboyne lad’ will live with me for a while.”

Well done to the pair of you. Pain is temporary but pride is forever! Too soon?
