Dunboyne Athletic Club will host its annual Winter Throws Meet on Saturday 5th March. Competitions will include shot putt, discus and hammer for juvenile, junior, senior and masters, men and women.

 

Entry will be on the day and the timetable for the day is as follows:

 

9.30     SHOT PUTT  Registration and  WARM UP

10.00   SHOT PUTT – COMPETITION

1O.00  DISCUS Registration and WARM UP

10,30    DISCUS – COMPETITION

12.00    HAMMER Registration and WARM UP

12.30   HAMMER – COMPETITION

12.00 MENS/LADIES 800m race

13.00  MENS/LADIES  1 mile race

Entry fee per event €5

A A I   measuring systems will be available.

4 throws in all events plus 2 extra when Athlete needs qualification A A I mark

Please bring your own implements

Coaches, Parents and Mentors will be asked to sign up to assist with the smooth running of the event

Tea available in club house,  results will be on club web site.

The goal is to provide competition for the athlete safely with a structured time table. Check web site 8am on Saturday if the weather is very bad . If you have any suggestions after the meet for 2017 please let us know. Dunboyne long throws circle is fast when dry, super fast when wet, be prepared.
