Our novice ladies came home with Leinster GOLD today! A huge congratulations to the four of you! With thanks to Emilia Dan for this report:
“Well, where can I start ?? To say that I knew that we are going to get the gold? I told the girls days before the race that we’re going for it. We did get it after all. We beat the strongest teams from Dublin – Donore Harriers, and Crusaders. I don’t know too much about what happened during the race because I was running myself but I know Laura had an amazing run. Herself and Clare was passing people all the way. One by one. Eva’s first race with Dunboyne wasn’t the way she expected. She was doing very well till she had a sore throat and a couple of days ago she got a head flu. She did well enough to help the team to get our gold but only herself knows what she went through during the race. Thanks to Clare for agreeing to race today as she’s still recovering after the marathon. I did well. Happy to be there for the team.”

Report to follow on the women’s and mens’ masters and photos too we but we wanted to get this good news out straight away, and hopefully the absolute determination and ensuing success of this team will inspire our marathoners tomorrow.
